Elaine's hometown is Macon, Georgia where she started painting when she was 15. The Southern landscape inspired her to learn to paint and improve her skill as an artist. Elaine is mostly self-taught. She has been blessed to live in different places around the south like Atlanta,Ga, Nashville,Tn, Birmingham,Al, Cashiers N.C. and now Madison, Ga and see all the scenes of the south that boost her creativity on canvas and paper.
Elaine's work is Abstract Impressionism. Her landscapes are loosely defined that express a feeling of peacefulness. The florals she paints are a bit more lively and joyful and come to life with Acrylic and Watercolor.
Elaine started painting Home Portraits and Wedding Portraits several years ago that began with the request of a friend. It’s become a regular project now for clients all over the country. "It’s a joy to create these personal gifts that bring so much happiness."
Elaine regularly shows her work in galleries, art shows, gift shops and designer showrooms in Atlanta, Memphis, Charlotte, Knoxville and Birmingham.
