As a former Interior Designer, Lana developed a fondness for many different techniques in art. Her work in oil has become her passion in life. She loves traveling specifically to paint both architectural sites and European street scenes. She also enjoys painting from still life using a combined look of Realism along with Impressionism.
Lana is partial to the Old Master's technique and has done many seascapes in this style. Her strong point would be color and light. She has studied with many well known artists such. As Dee Beard Dean, Margaret Hand, Joan. Hilliard, John De Levago, Roseta Santiago, Joan Walker Williams, Robert Johnson and Jim Richards.
Lana also specializes in. commissions, especially those which include a client's favorite holiday scene in which she references photographs. She has recently branched out into Contemporary painting and is enjoying the process.
Lana's work has also been featured on the cover of Southern Distinction Magazine. She painted a painting that was presented to actress Patricia O'Neal as an award for her work in "Breakfast At Tiffany's".
