Born and raised in Athens, Georgia, I was fortunate enough to live in a town where the Arts surrounded me. Once discovering that I had a love for pencil drawing in the 9th grade, I eventually took my interests a few steps further, dabbling in charcoal, water color, and acrylic.
I attended the University of Georgia where I received a BFA degree in Drawing and Painting. My love of art was placed on the back burner for a few decades while my love of family took its place. Eventually my anxiousness over an empty nest led me back...
Over the years, acrylic has been my medium of choice, and abstracts are my favorite. Painting on canvas is what I do most, but if I find a scrap piece of paneled wood or even a piece of sheet rock, I let my imagination and creativity take it to a finished piece.
