Ginny Elder was raised in Corinth, Mississippi. She attended college at Mississippi State University, earning a double major in graphic art and fine art.
Ginny moved to Nashville, Tennessee where she worked in graphic arts. She later chose to pursue her love of painting and drawing. During this time Ginny began showing her artwork in multiple locations including local galleries in the South, including various art shows from Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville and Atlanta.
Ginny’s art has been described as whimsical, colorful, and happy. She paints in acrylics on canvas and has recently started a unique style painted on reclaimed wood. She loves to paint churches, reminiscent of her childhood in Mississippi. She also paints trees, birds, angels and abstracts; and currently she has been doing a series on cityscapes.
Ginny loves to paint, but also loves using her creativity to raise her three energetic and creative girls while living in Franklin, TN with her husband Jody.
